PROBLEMS/EMERGENCIES

What do I do about water leaking into my unit?
Pease contact Management and/or Security to report a water leak. Most water leaks are caused by something happening in an individual unit, such as a toilet overflowing or a valve failing. It is a good practice to maintain your apartment's plumbing including your water heater. At Kahala beach ruptured water heaters account for the majority of our water leaks. Individuals should check with their insurance agents to assure that they have proper coverage.

How do I shut off water to my unit?
Water can be shutoff at individual fixtures. The original construction did not include individual unit master valves. Some units have been retrofitted with their individual shutoff valves. Typically, these valves are located in or above the water heater closet.
