Required Unit Inspection and FAQ
To assist lessees in fulfilling Kamehameha Schools’ required interior unit inspection process at Kahala Beach Apartments, the approved scheduling methods and frequently asked questions are provided below.
How to Schedule the Inspection
The required unit inspection may be scheduled by using one of the following three methods:

Inspections will be conducted by a team of four or five individuals, comprised of the following:• Locations team members
• Photographer
• Locations team members - Is this unit inspection mandatory?
Yes. Under your lease, you will permit KS and its authorized agents at all reasonable times to enter the
premises. - Will I receive a copy of the unit inspection summary?
At this time, there are no plans to provide inspection results to lessees. In addition, no standardized post-inspection follow-up is planned. Any follow-up, if necessary, will be directed to the lessee on an individual basis as needed. - I can’t attend the unit inspection in person. Can I designate someone to be there instead?
Lessee does not need to be at the unit inspection, but they will need to arrange and provide access to the unit with Locations. If you cannot attend, you may designate a representative by notifying Locations in advance. - What if I need to schedule a unit inspection outside the 8 :30a.m. to 6 p.m. window?
Please contact Locations to arrange another time. - What if I would like to arrange a unit inspection for Saturday or Sunday?
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate inspections on the weekends. - What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let Locations know more than 48 hours in advance. You may reschedule, using the online or in-person methods.
Meeting Schedule for 2026 has been Published
Board Meetings For 2026
Meetings begin at 5 PM:
- Thursday, Jan. 15 in the library
- Thursday, Apr. 16 in the library
- Thursday, Aug. 13 in the library
Annual Meeting:
- Thursday, Nov. 12 in the library
Proxy registration starts at 4:30 p.m.
Power Shutdown Tuesday, Jan. 6th, 2026
There will be a Complete Shutdown of the Electricity at The Kahala Beach between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. to approx. 12:00 p.m. Tues., Jan. 6th. The shut-down is required for maintenance.
As a reminder, the elevators will not be functioning; please notify your contractors or guests accordingly. Electrical devices such as computers, televisions etc.
should be unplugged at this time to protect the equipment from potential power surges.
Contact the office (Jenny- 732-5233/C/391-1780) if you have special needs or concerns. Security (739-6085) is always available and more than happy to assist you in any
way they can.

Water Shutdown- Fri., Dec. 19th, 2025
The backflow prevention assembly device will be shut-off for repairs between 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
This will require a water shutdown of the entire complex. Please make sure your faucets are in the “off” position before leaving your unit.
DO NOT schedule any plumbing work at this time; the water may be turned back on in a matter of minutes pending on the needed repairs.

2024 Honolulu Marathon
Attention Residents
Due to the marathon on Sunday, Dec. 8th the intersection of Kealaolu St. and Kahala Ave. will not be accessible to any vehicles from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The police will be monitoring the intersection allowing only emergency vehicles.
Kealaolu Avenue from Waialae Avenue to Kahala Avenue from about 5:30 AM until the area is clear. Local Traffic may be permitted – only by direction of officers – at Aukai Avenue. Entry and exit by Aukai only – ALL OTHER roadways will be closed and vehicular traffic will be turned around.
The Kahala Beach Condos, Kahala Hotel and Resort, and Waialae Country Club traffic will be permitted via Aukai Avenue and Pueo Street when safe to do so, approximately 11:30 am.
Please direct all marathon-related inquiries to the Honolulu Marathon Office, except those concerning residents of Japan who must contact the Japan office.
Some bus routes will be canceled and/or detoured. Bus riders may call TheBUS at 808-848-5555 or visit the Oahu Transit Services website for details.
